FELDON SHELTER AND FORD NEW ZEALAND
I couldn’t say no when Feldon Shelter and Ford New Zealand asked me to take their Ranger build out on an adventure. I had been closely watching them assemble this truck for the past few months.
The mission: To take it wherever I want.
I asked a close friend of mine, Matt Clode, if he would be interested in joining to help film and produce the cinematics of the trip. Matt had never experienced the New Zealand backcountry, so I was excited to show him one of my favourite places on earth. Another friend of mine, Jamie, offered to convoy the trip which gave peace of mind as I didn’t know what we could potentially run into in this harsh landscape.
I set a goal of filming a day to night time-lapse over one of New Zealand glaciers, which we quickly achieved. With a few extra days up our sleeve we carried on the trip to experience one of the most unique journeys I have encountered.
